It’s not often i have to do it but i will play my age gap card in proship discourse if i have to, because these idiots cant tell difference between reality and fiction. They just lose their entire minds when i tell em that over here in germany the aoc is 14 and that teens like myself often get into perfectly healthy age gap relationships like the one i’m in. Their true problems with it come out when they can no longer make appeals to the law or to morals. “I dont like it, so you cant either”
Honestly, a 14 yr old aoc is a little frightening to me too. That’s gotta be the lowest age of consent I’ve ever heard of. 😵💫
But you’re right, “I don’t like it” isn’t an argument for why something needs to be illegal. Abuse is a very specific kind of harm, and can’t be quantified solely based on how different the ages of the people involved are. It also downplays the harm of younger abusers and abusive relationships where there is no age gap.
