I too think that full-on sex scenes don’t belong in summaries (and to be honest, I don’t recall ever seeing one there), but I hail from an internet era when you had to learn to scroll. All of the squicky shit was right there, mixed in, usually with no warnings. You had to be cool with using your back button or you had to opt out of fanfic entirely. Fandom still flourished.
