In the romance world, this is called your “Id List.” It was originated by a specific person but I’m blanking on her name. Short version, pinpoint the things that you love to include in your stories and really lean into those. Not just tropes, but realizing that your characters always go out for ice cream, so make sure to include that scene as a little Easter egg for your loyal fans.
