Rambling about problematic elements in my Silent Hill fancomic because it’s fun.
Major spoilers. Look at the tags before proceeding. Dead dove applies.
Vanessa, the protagonist of the comic, spends the story searching for her missing Uncle James whom it becomes clearer and clearer that she is obsessed with in a romantic way.
The major twist is that she was so obsessed with him she raped him by deception and intoxication on the night of his wedding. She’s traumatized due to the resulting abortion her mother forced her to have.
Vanessa is basically an unreliable narrator who yandere stalks James throughout the whole comic. Whether or not she heals and moves on from this depends on the ending.
The other major character Vanessa meets wandering Silent Hill turns out to have been a rapist who was compelled to those actions due to psychosis resulting from his girlfriend dying while they were having sex.
