Peter had been crying off and on since he’d arrived at Otto’s safehouse, beaten half to death, and falling into the doctor’s arms.
“I can’t do it any more, doc,” he’d croaked out, “–i– it’s too much.”
Despite all the history between them, Otto’s well worn caretaker instincts and righteous fury were ignited on the boy’s behalf.
It had been a long few days as Otto came to understand the traumatic mania that drove Spider-man.
He wanted a few sharp words with the man who’d convinced Peter that it was his duty to save the world at his own expense.
