Here’s a note for OP– terfs want you to have fewer rights and to police what you’re doing and how you express yourself.

Not necessarily, believe it or not.
Quite a few TERF posts are meant to come across as non-threatening or relatable. They’re meant to be “toned down”. And the reason for it is exactly what the asker is experiencing. You’re meant to see the post and, instead of thinking “Well a stopped clock is right twice a day”, you’re supposed to think “Well, maybe not all radfems are bad. Maybe this one has a point.” And that’s when someone starts turning up the heat in your little froggy jacuzzi. It’s meant to draw you in and slowly turn you toward them.
It’s propaganda… and you are not immune.

I feel it goes the same ways with antis They start off with ‘don’t ship adult x child in fiction because that is the same pedophilia and you don’t want to be a pedophile do you?’ Which will get people scared about their morals, and agree with it Then they will get more extreme about what you can and can’t do with fiction, who you can and can’t interact with, teaching you to be scared of everyone, and see crime where it isn’t. Until they turn to sending death threats to those who just have questions about it.
