as a poster, I agree it’s a good idea to follow TOS especially regarding putting things under a cut and tagging nsft. but I don’t agree that us (the user base) should report TOS violations except for harrasment and the like as these things generally are not reported in a fair way (people report things that bother them personally and ignore things that don’t bother them personally, which means there is all sorts of biases in play.)
Marking things as needing a community label isn’t the same as reporting a TOS violation.
Tumblr just prompts the user to slap a maturity label on there, as far as I know.
Trust me I am not a cop and I’m not for policing, and I don’t advocate for hunting down people for porn related TOS violations.
if I’m incorrect about the way tumblr handles maturity label pings please let me know and I’ll adjust my advice.
