I literally just had a conversation with someone about being unable to control how people take things you create. I was worried I’d been hurtful without meaning to. She told me that she could see what I meant, how I was worried it would be taken, and how she took it, all at once, and that all three were different. And that that is the nature of consuming media. It helped and its really nice to see someone else saying essentially the same thing. Thank you.

It’s absolutely true. Once you’ve shared your creations, you can’t control how people react, including what fandom stuff they create.
