I don’t really care if people make rpf of adults who are celebrities (or just adults in general) but I just don’t think it should be okay for children. I understand that it’s not illegal under current laws but as an archive AO3 can choose not to archive it, just as much as the internet archive now refuses to archive posts from kiwifarms I can’t stop people from making it but I’d rather they don’t post their sexual fantasies of real children online. I don’t want to sound similar to people who bash csa victims for coping with fiction but again I’m just upset real children are involved
Absolutely, AO3 could choose not to archive it.
However, what Archive of our Own does choose to do is to archive the maximally inclusive amount of content, so long as that content does not break the law of the country it is hosted in.
AO3 does not draw moral lines in terms of what can be uploaded, only legal ones.
