it’s annoying that despite my opinion that in a fictional world, like if you write down something fictional, you can do anything with the characters, but I still adhere to some kind of adequacy. and here are my two characters, one is almost 18 (only a couple of days left) and the second one is in his early 20s(almost 22), I don’t even know if it would be right for them to communicate(or even felt in love) with each other in real life. And I know I shouldn’t care-they’re fictional, and their age difference isn’t the worst thing I could have made up. But I’m so afraid of judgment, and I so want these two fools to be happy in the right relationship… God, this is so stupid and childish.
I mean they’re happy, everything is fine. But what if in real world it’s not okay? WHY IT BOTHERES ME?
I’m so sorry that you feel so twisted up about your story idea.
Just to reassure you, an 18 and a 22 year old in a relationship is perfectly normal and happens all the time.
But please also remember that it’s okay to write things in fiction that would not be okay in real life too.
