Self-awareness and humility can go a long way in fandom. Two things that antis do not have, but two things proshippers have. I have enough self-awareness to say, “I’m not into fictional incest, but I know that selfcest is just as weird if not weirder and real life incest is worse than fictional incest.” By the end of the day, everyone has a weird kink or two and everyone has boundaries when it comes to fetishes. So when I see an anti shame someone for being into incest ships but then they also ship something that is way worse than the person they are targeting or selfship with a villain, it further makes me more disappointed by antis being hypocritical. Worst part is that patterns like that keep happening with antis.
