As a dear friend would say, simple deductive logical reasoning.

First we ask the question “who sent this message?”

To answer that, we ask the further question “what was the purpose of sending this message to us?”

The message had no additional context, just the URL for the post.

Thus we can deduce that the anon’s aim was to get us to follow the URL and see the post.

The message was an image designed to shock, threaten, and provoke trans people and people who support trans people.

Someone friendly to us, or simply anti-radfem, would have included a warning in their message about the content of the post, but there was no warning.

Therefore, we deduce that the sender’s intention was to shock, provoke, and disgust.

Therefore, a terf.

But how do we know that the terf who made the post and who sent the message are one and the same? Could it not be some other terf?

For this, we look at the post itself.

The post at the time had a total of 3 notes.

Therefore, we can deduce that almost no one had seen this post. So it’s unlikely that even another terf would have come upon it and decided to send it to us.

We can further speculate that the posting terf felt that their threatening message had not reached enough of an audience yet, driving them to send it to their target audience– people they wanted to threaten.

And finally, we can confirm that this message was indeed sent to many trans people in the proship community around the same time it was sent to our inbox.

Making it even more obvious that it was the original poster trying to spread their hatred.

Thus we can reasonably assume that the terf who created the post and the one who sent the hatemail were one and the same!
