Off the cuff opinion from someone who didn’t take AP PSYCHE: When people who experienced childhood trauma go searching for combative interactions with people who they see as pedophiles (aka proshippers), they are engaging in a version of the same exposure therapy / attempt at meaning making that people who write dark fiction do, but with none of the safety in the abstract and a vastly higher likelyhood of accidental harm to others.
🤔 I prefer not to make assumptions about other people’s motivations, but I could see it.
