Hey.
So, I’m normally an 18+ interaction only blog, but I am making an exception for this post in particular as it needs to be spread, and because this is to the benefit of younger pro-ship/pro-fic people who are not able to safely use Aethy yet. (Please do not follow my blog if you are under 18! Just read and spread this post.)
As you may or may not be aware, many of us have created accounts on Aethy to get away from Tumblr’s increasing amounts of fandom policing and are becoming increasingly active there, as it is a site that allows full creative freedom.
However, it is 18+ only, meaning younger folks cannot escape to it if they end up on Tumblr’s radar and start getting banned.
If you are under 18 and pro-ship/pro-fic/comshipper/anti-harassment and want/need somewhere to create a backup account (and also to find a much safer community for yourself than Tumblr), create a Pillowfort account ASAP if you do not already have one.
It does have some small limitations, but none of those are going to matter if you are a minor. This site is pro-fiction and anti-harassment.
It’s a little different, but it’s somewhat similar to Tumblr.
I have created a group there that you can use to keep in contact with your moots and moot-in-laws if shit ever goes south for you.
This isn’t an attempt to fearmonger, but things don’t look like they’re going to get better here. Even if you continue to use primarily Tumblr, at least have this in your back pocket. It might just save you some trouble down the road.
Even if you are not a minor, feel free to join the group as well. It is strictly SFW (as you can post NSF[T] on your own blog or in another group; this group is to allow the community to keep in contact). That said, if you are over 18, I highly recommend joining Aethy as it has total and full creative freedom with no exceptions, and is where most of us are currently active.
Please spread the word. Fandom is still fandom even if it moves, but don’t get split apart from your friends in the process. blackheartxbiohazards
