When it comes right down to it, an author or an artist always has an excellent reason for why they write or draw problematic things. It’s an incredibly personal reason, and the details will change from author to author or artist to artist, but at it’s core it’s really the same reason why anyone writes or draws anything and we should all respect that.

It’s pretty much the best reason I can think of to create something, and I know it’s central to everything I’ve ever been proud of making.
