According to Tumblr you can do this, but I think that it only works on blogs
Yeah, unfortunately that only works on specific blogs, and only on specific blogs that use a .tumblr format. :/
What I *really* want is to be able to go into a tag and see posts from 2012-2016.
There’s a major problem where if you scroll far enough in a tag it just starts repeating and/or jumps back to the top.
Try to find a fuckyeah blog! They will likely have older content for what you’re looking for.
All blogs have a .tumblr url, you just have to type it in to your browser!
Incorrect, unfortunately. Newer blogs (as of about a year or two ago) default to tumblr.com/blogname and do not have a .tumblr url unless the blog owner manually clicks “enable custom theme.”
It might default to it, but I get to people’s blogs all the time by just typing in their urls vs just clicking on them. But I manage my settings on desktop vs mobile so 🤷♀️
But still, fuckyeah and hellyeah blogs are relics, so if you find one, you should be able find their old tags!
We use desktop too, but if somebody doesn’t have custom theme enabled and you try to get to their blog via blog name.tumblr.com it simply redirects you to tumblr.com/blogname

Ah, I see what you’re saying. But you can still search for tags on these blogs. As long as they use tags, that is. If they don’t then it’s hopeless.
