when the pro-censorship crowd insists loudly that their glorified violence is *totally fine* because they think “nobody is fetishizing or getting off to it” I am just like–
Are they willfully ignoring all the media that eroticizes and fetishizes violence? The film making and writing, and video games that deliberately frames fighting or outright murder scenes like smut?
Are they deliberately ignoring it, incapable of noticing it, or do they just have really, really small reference pools?
#there are so many slashers where people get murdered during sex. and while that could be a purity thing i feel like it’s also a horny thing#but there’s also stuff like the scene in scream where stu and billy stab each other#or cory and michael’s first kill together in halloween ends#that are just framed in blatantly sexual ways#like to think there’s no way anyone is getting off to stuff like that is silly#i hope what i’m saying is coherent lol
