Actually you do not need to respect the creator or their intentions for the characters when writing fanfiction or shipping.
That’s kind of the whole point of fanfiction and shipping– doing what you want with the material without regard to the original creator’s intentions.
Literally cannot believe someone actually put this hingeless take on one of our shipping posts.
