personally i dont comment on a lot of fics i read for two reasons- one, im not very good with compliments to the point i feel i may as well not comment at all, and two the fics i read usually have lots of comments anyway so i figure my own comment wouldnt matter to the author if see it has very little comments or none then i will post a comment
Here’s the secret– authors love getting plain emoji, keymashes, and quotes from their fic as comments.
You don’t have to say something meaningful. Just some reaction to tell us that you read it and liked it is appreciated.
When we see a ‘hit/view’ that doesn’t leave any kudos or comment or reaction to our fic, we assume the person who clicked didn’t like it or didn’t finish it.
