I do kinda wonder if they just learned about plurality in 2022 and decided that if they didn’t personally know about it then it never existed.
You know, like when you learn a new word and then it suddenly feels like it’s everywhere. But no. It’s always been there. You just never noticed.
Our system Tumblr is almost ten years old. We know systems who’ve been in the community for 20+ years.
It’s super easy to find information about the system community going back a LOT longer than 2022. Maybe a little harder if you’re from Latin America and are searching primarily in Spanish, but it’s still out there. This is an outrageous claim that should have been checked before the poster said this.

Our earliest plural writing (using plural terminology) is, I’m pretty sure, from around 2010. We knew we were a system, in the sense of “I’m not alone in this head”, in 1990.
The earliest website we’ve seen involving systems was circa 1995.
And of course, there’s historical proof going back to… what, the 1700s at least? Or something like that? Lmao. People really do think that just because they didn’t hear about it, it must not have existed. No, babes, you’re just way, way late to the party.
We were posting on the livejournal community for plural systems (then called @multiplicity) back in 2006.
