I am once again reminding people:

  • tumblr doesn’t give you a reason when they ban you.
  • they tell you to contact support about it.
  • but they don’t tell you that you can’t contact support with the email from your banned account.
  • and if you send an email from your banned account it goes nowhere.
  • and you don’t receive any confirmation that they didn’t receive it, you just get nothing.

Tumblr support doesn’t want to help you and doesn’t want you to pursue finding out why your account was banned or getting it restored.

Can anyone confirm this? Reblogging, just in case, so people can try and use back-up email-addresses in case of a ban

Back me up fellow ban-experiencers.

Oh, yeah, this is true. I’ve had my account terminated so many times. I think this is my 8th account, but I can’t remember.

The account recovery asks for the email you used to make your termed account, but it’s been months, and I have yet to receive any reason why I was termed or how to get my account back because tumblr doesn’t actually want to help us. If enough people report you, they don’t want to go through the trouble of actually seeing if the claims are true, they’ll just delete your account and hope for the best. Like, how is that fair? That’s just giving in to mob mentality.

I’ve contacted them from a different email, but they just told me, “This isn’t the email you used to make your last account. Use that email instead,” but they block that email, so they’re just doing this to piss us off. It’s very childish. I hope this fucking site burns to the ground.
