Dude. Diego’s dead. That was a death scene, given the respect and ambiguity it deserved, as he served the ‘Waiting for Godot’ reference. Some versions of the game even have a picture after the credits where Diego is with Mia’s ghost, as everyone else is eating, his picture included with the dead. Some like to theorise he is alive (due tot the ambiguity), but it was a death.
…see, I can see why it can be read as a metaphorical death, the death of the Godot persona and the return of Diego Armando, but he was literally, on a physical level, alive at the end of the game.

LOL this is literally the first time I’ve ever seen anybody say he died there.
If he had died I think the characters might have you know… Reacted to that.
It would be *poetic* if he died there but I don’t think anything indicates that he did.
