I’ve never heard anyone saying that Krispollo is “problematic”, but it is, in fact, a complicated ship that under specific circumstances may become a dark ship.
We’re playing here on power dynamics, because Kristoph is older than Apollo and is his mentor, so it’s easy for Kris to overpower Apollo (probably physically, too, because Apollo is smaller). To it, Kristoph has a great reputation, what in case of him becoming abusive towards Apollo, he could ruin the younger attorney if he decided to report it (if he would notice his partner being abusive).
I think that there’s something important to mention that is easy to miss because Kristoph in general is seen as an abusive jerk and cold-blooded killer only. Their bond was built on mutual trust that can be seen in 4-1, starting from “my trusted mentor” written in Kristoph’s profile to their conversation when Kristoph was called to give his testimony (“et tu, Justice? Would you betray me, your teacher?” – I don’t think he would say it if he didn’t feel like Apollo was about to violate his trust).
About publishing – there’s no need to worry, seriously! On AO3 you can post a work anonymously. In the row “Post to Collections / Challenges” you need to write and choose “Anonymous (Anonymous_Collection)”, and done. Nobody, but you, will know that the fic is yours.
