saying bdsm enables violence is like saying martial artists enable violence
targeting the people play fighting for fun, growth and connection is shallow. it critisizes aesthetics, not material effects
its a detraction from genuine causes of violence
and my experiences in kink and martial arts are genuinely very similar. they both enrich my life deeply
the biggest difference is that martial arts doesn’t carry stigma the way sex does. people have to critisize why they assume sex is inherently *different* from everything else
