I don’t know where exactly in the timeline you are, but yeah no, character arcs are not RE’s strong suit. You kinda have to infer a lot.
Yeah it seems like RE gives you action figures to play with more than they play with them for you
That’s honestly how I feel too. It suggests a lot more than it tells.
5 has some of the most interesting character drama in the series and still basically gives you nothing.

Peter Parker is a naturally selfish, petty and cruel person who’s been traumatized into becoming a self-sacrificing hero.
And Magneto is a naturally kind and self-sacrificing person who’s been traumatized into becoming a murderous villain.
