Shout out to every proshipper in fandoms full of antis! It can be SO hard to have a decent fandom experience with them around. But the fandom isn’t the source material itself, so you can keep enjoying it regardless! You all also belong in fandom spaces!!
I’m gonna say it in even plainer language because I don’t think it’s getting through to some of you:
The phrases:
“I think all pedos should be shot on sight”
and
“Trans people are groomers and pedos”
are fucking related.
They know lots of folks think pedos should be shot on sight. All they have to do to get you to hate trans people and think trans people should be shot on sight, therefore, is call trans people pedos.
It’s that fucking easy to incite violence against a marginalized group.
Calling for unconditional violence against a group of “bad people” you don’t like will always result in marginalized people being identified as belonging to that group.
