I love X-men evolution but goodness fucking gracious there are some strange choices made by the adults in the show
Xavier thought the best way to see if Toad is a mutant was to have Storm attack him.
And for some reason there’s a room in the mansion that is programmed to just attack anyone that enters. In a school.
And of course those two things end up scaring Toad and making him run away.
I will never not be upset about the way that Toad (and the rest of the brotherhood) were treated by the adults in that series, in general.
I love love LOVE X-Men: Evo, but it has a lot of unfortunate messaging that boils down to “underprivileged kids, and kids with abusive home-lives will inevitably become evil.”
I’ve said this before but I think all sci-fi and fantasy adventure needs a little bit of horror as seasoning. It doesn’t need to be full sci-fi horror or fantasy horror but a little bit of scary adds flavor. Build a world and then explore the fucked up implications of that world a little bit
we all have separate romantic and sexual orientations, but some are more common, and of course the orientations of common fronters are more dominant.
It averages out to as a collective, us functionally being bisexual/pansexual, polyamorous, demisexual, and aplatonic, but that’s just how it appears from the outside. Each system member has their own orientation.
We’d be willing to answer questions about specific members orientations of people were interested but otherwise we won’t go into it.
