you know you don’t need to have a moral reason to not like a ship or character, right? like there doesn’t have to be nuance and the people who do like that ship/character aren’t targeting you, specifically, in any way. it can just be that the ship/character doesn’t spare joy in you. and that’s okay.
on the flip side, you don’t need to defend or have a “reason” for liking a ship or character. you don’t have to defend your opinion with an essay that “objectively proves” that your ship/character is the best or anything like that. your ship/character can simply spark joy in you. and that’s okay.
hell, some of my favorite ships came about because i liked how their colors looked together. it doesn’t have to be that deep. it’s okay if it is. but it doesn’t have to be.
