Hey does anybody know the origin of a quote like “and when it’s your partner, you do something about it”
Said in a stereotypical detective voice, either private or police
Specifically referring to partner being killed.
I can’t figure out the origin and it’s stuck in my head. Could be from a police procedural, a parody… Idk.
It was Maltese Falcon. Remembered it real butchered. 🤣
Sam Spade: When a man’s partner is killed, he’s supposed to do something about it. It doesn’t make any difference what you thought of him. He was your partner and you’re supposed to do something about it.
