Difference between a real proshipper account and a bait proshipper account courtesy of an anti? I have a feeling I’ll know the difference but I want to ask just in case I see any bait proshipping accounts so I can stay far away.
If they use the term “proship” or “proships” to refer to their ships or the act of shipping. That’s a big one. Also, this one isn’t really a sure-fire indicator, but people (espessially on TikTok) who are baits will try to be as “cringe” as possible. Examples being talking in third person, kawaii aesthetic, and they only seem to ship “problematic” ships that antis blow a gasket over. Nothing wrong with any of these things, but it’s a pattern I’ve noticed with baits (plus they make it their whole personality). They also never treat their ships like a normal proshipper would, like I’ve seen many who say “x character and y character are the best ship and everything else sucks!”. Another thing is that they focus on shock factor. They also say a lot of stuff like “plz don’t hate!” and such as a way to bait people into harassing them.
That’s what I’ve noticed at least lol
