to any proshippers that are complaining about antis that keep using the word “proships”, honestly, i think it’s better to just let them.
yeah, it can be annoying and just proves they have absolutely no idea what these terms mean, but i’d rather have them continue to say “here are some of my favorite proships >w<” so i can easily identify bait posts and accounts.
I mostly agree, but here’s the problem.
Years ago in the fictionkin community, anti-kin trolls started making fake accounts calling themselves “kinnies”.
For a long while it was a great way to identify troll blogs because no real kin would call themselves that.
Then people who didn’t know any better from outside the community saw the term kinnie being used and thought it was a real community term.
Now the fictionkin community has to accept the use of the term kinnie because troll blogs popularized it, and it became integrated into the community by people who found the community through trolls or were new in the community when trolls were rampant.
