Hey so uh completely unrelated to anything I post ever but I was scrolling through Random Shit™ and I know no one cares about my thoughts on this thought I’d say something important.
You can be Anti-Proship and Anti-Anti at the same time.
Just because I think shipping incest is gross, that doesn’t mean I think shipping a pair of childhood friends counts as incest.
Just because I think shipping abuse is awful, that doesn’t mean I think antagonist/protagonist ships make you a bad person.
Just because I think shipping minor/adult ships is disgusting, that doesn’t mean I’ll be coming for your head for drawing wholesome art of two child characters having an innocent puppy-love moment.
Just because drawing this kind of stuff isn’t technically illegal, that doesn’t mean it’s not gross and harmful.
Just because someone draws something gross and harmful, that doesn’t give you the right to threaten them.
Just because fiction affects reality more than you’d think, that doesn’t mean one off-color drawing is going to make someone the next Albert Fish.
Just because I think Proshippers are fucked-up, that doesn’t mean Antis are any better.
God, I’m so fucking tired of pretending you have to be one or the other.
Anti anti and proship ARE synonyms.

I literally said IN MY ORIGINAL POST that someone posting something gross doesn’t give you the right to harass them.
I never said ANYWHERE that it was okay to harass people for ships.
This is exactly what I mean when I say both sides are fucked-up. On one side, we have people who will suibait you for existing, and on the other, we have little pissbabies who can’t comprehend that maybe fetishizing p*dophilia is a *bad thing*, and both sides think anyone that isn’t on their side must be on the other.

This is simple, there are two sides.
Proship/anti anti: you don’t believe in harassing people over the fiction they create, and you block people that make fiction that upsets you instead of trying to censor or punish them.
Antiship: you believe some fiction is inherently harmful and should never be created, and you harass or try to stop people from creating fiction you think is bad.
Get the “replies to antis” shit out of your tags, you smug fuck. I have said multiple times I am not an anti. You don’t have to be one or the other. What you have going on is cult mentality, creating an “us” and a “them”, and believing that anyone that’s not “us” must be “them”.
My *entire point* is that *both sides* are fucking garbage. Once again, I never said that harassment is okay. That stuff is for immature dweebs who have never seen the sun in their lives. HOWEVER, that doesn’t make proshippers any less immoral.
You can think someone is immoral without sending death-threats or suibait, and the fact that you’re so insistent that me thinking p*dophilia is gross automatically means I must want you dead says a *lot* more about you than it does about you.
My friend, you are here calling someone gross and immoral and swearing at them, without knowing them at all or even what they ship? Why?
Suibaiting and death threats aren’t the only form of harassment.
You consider yourself not an anti, but you’re passing moral judgement on someone not just for what they ship in fiction, but for what you assume they ship in fiction.
