You’ll probably get to enjoy more Sherlock Holmes posting coming up, admittedly ^^;;.

First off, the original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle are really fantastic, and I recommend reading at least a few of the short ones. They are not dry, or difficult.

My big recommendation is The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, in which Holmes acts as the deuteragonist– and saying more than that would be a terrible spoiler.

My other big recommendation, closer in text to the original stories is the Frogware adventure game series. They go in sale for cheap all the time and they’re marvelous. We started with the Devil’s Daughter and worked backward. I might actually make a longer post just to gush about those games and all the things I love about them.

There isn’t a screen version of the Holmes mythos that I don’t have some issues with (I’m very picky for personal reasons). I am meaning to watch the Russian Sherlock Holmes series but haven’t had the opportunity to do so yet. Once I do I’ll let you know.

The animated adaptations (or parodies) is where I have the most fun because I don’t end up nitpicking.

I love the Great Mouse Detective and Sherlock Gnomes. πŸ˜‰

Honestly thank you for this ask because it reminded me I need to talk about this subject more!
