Can ships be non romantic? can u say that u don’t love your f/o because you don’t use the word love to describe your attraction to him? Are there other aros in the proship community?
We have seen people with familial F/Os, best friend F/Os and other platonic F/Os.
We’ve also seen people say things like “i ship these two characters as friends” but that’s not how the term is commonly understood in fandom, and if you say you ship two characters without any other context, people will assume that you mean romantically.
Beyond that, we’ll leave the rest of the question to any wonderful aro followers we have, or any aros who want to chime in– because the primary fronters in our system are hypersexual and hyperromantic, and we don’t feel comfortable speaking for aros on how to relate ships or self ships in the context of aromaticism.

But my f/os do tend to be romantic/sexual ^^“ fiction is the place where I feel I can interact with these feels best where in reality they ate far too complicated & feel exactly like platonic feelings to me.
But you can totally have f/os you don’t romantically love or love at all! You might need to specify that your f/o isn’t romantic (as most people will just assume it is a romantic type relationship) but I’ve seen lots if people with platonic f/os, queer platonic f/os, familial f/os, etc!
