Have you ever had a f/o that gives you gender envy? Like right now, there’s a character from Demon Slayer I’m jealous about because their look is just the kinda androgynous look I want, but at the same time I find it attractive. It’s weird because I hate them because God dammit stop being my peak goal, but I find them weirdly attractive at the same time. Also doesn’t help they’re a villain too, fucking went from a 10 to an 11.

For the most part my former f/os that gave me gender envy actually later turned out to be kintypes, but I’m not sure how relevant that experience is to you.
That said I don’t think it’s especially uncommon or unlikely to have gender envy for someone that you’re attracted to, especially if you’re any kind of flavor of queer.
That said again, I’ve always been into selfcest, so I’m used to being attracted to ‘myself’ 😉
