to be fair the way a lot of antis mock proshippers for shipping habits and for donating to fanfic sites still feels very similar to cringe compilations. they use a lot of the behaviors that were often seen in those compilations. i think they just wanted to make a Woke version of it.
I mean if you think about it, they do gather up content that would normally never be found by people who aren’t looking for it, sometimes even on private accounts that they had to lie to the owner to be able to see, and then put it on display on their public for people to laugh at, cringe at, get mad at, or whatever best suits their end goal (dogpiling and harassment).
It IS exactly the same as cringe compilations from back in the day. Same shit, different target.
Yep. As we alluded to in the initial post, its the exact same behavior with a “morality” coat of paint.
