I love that bullshit checklist of “what a good redemption arc needs to be” that was written by a person whose only reference for literary structure seems to be Avatar the Last Airbender.  I love how so many people are treating it as gospel.  I love that this is how literary criticism works like now.

if zuko is the lowest you can sink before being unworthy of redemption, what hope do any of us have?

I’ve straight-up seen variations of that list where one of the criteria is “character is already a good person” which really makes one wonder what they think redemption means
