i started trying to write a dipper x mable but my motivations were all wrong. I wanted to ‘stick it to the antis’ but just ended up feeling a bit uncomfortable and it ended up going in a completely different direction where they fall out with each other in similar ways to their uncles. High school was hell for both of them. And they also get their autism diagnosis! I guess the moral is don’t create out of spite, create out of joy
The best way to stick it to fancops is to not give any thought to what someone elses’ opinion of what you’re writing might be.
Fancops want you to worry over the acceptability and perceive morality of what you write. Not giving a shit takes away their power in the most poetic way possible. Most of the time they just want attention anyway.
That Dipper and Mable fic sounds like a really interesting character piece, also! It’s always great how one can start with one idea for a story only to see it turn into something different!
