that first anon was way fuckin aggressive yikes. but as someone who is proship + most things adjacent i do think there’s a certain degree of insensitivity towards actual cases of police violence when people overuse the whole fancop term in arguments on here. like yeah antis and a lot of shitty cop stuff are both symptoms of a similar problem, but they are at a very very different level of severity to be comparing them
Disagree.
Ive seen too many antis literally wish police brutality on people (myself included) for our supposed ‘crimes’ to feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable calling them all fancops.
They’re all obsessed with punitive justice. They want to punish other people for thoughts they don’t like with violence.
They talk about wishing violence on people over fiction constantly.
They’re junior cops. Fancops. Thought police.
And I think that fact hasn’t occured to a lot of them. Calling them thought police or fancops makes them uncomfortable. Makes them think about exactly what they’re doing.
