thanks for linking the soulbonding blog! had no idea that was a thing. not sure if i totally vibe with it, but it seems like i might just be using different language to describe the same phenomenon. ill defo look into it though. its really interesting to learn that this isnt a Normal Thing, but i dont find that distressing in the slightest personally, so its all g. i also think the anon ask about neurodiversity was interesting! im autistic and trying to get diagnosed with adhd, so my brain is constantly turned on, there is no off switch, i wish there was. it could be that the high level of activity in there lead to my/could lead to others brains doing funky shit just cause? kinda similar to maladaptive daydreaming as a coping mechanism maybe. as for vivid dreams, i never dream so idk about that one in the slightest.
Different labels and different understands of similar experiences are definitely really interesting to look into, share and talk about!
I would never try to label someone’s personal internal experience for them– which has always made it hard when someone comes to me and asks ‘am I otherkin’, ‘am I a soulbonder’ etc. That’s a question a person can only answer for themselves.
But it’s really interesting and wonderful to come together and share these experiences, in all their similarities and differences, and value the fact that they mean something different to each of us.
