I have a question one that you can definitely ignore if you want to. But my question is that since you interact with a lot of pro ship stuff does it also show up in your system? Like do your system members also have relationships that are ‘wrong’ like age gap relationships, toxic ones, or even ones that would be considered incest? We are only asking because we have relationships in our system like that due to interacting with pro ship stuff and we want to know if we are alone in this or not. Again you don’t have to answer this at all especially if you are uncomfortable to do so.

The truth is we probably need to create some kind of ‘system lore’ about page that has some quick info on how our system works.
Our system, and it’s members are pre-existing. We all have relationships and experiences that predate our lifetime sharing this body together.
The answer is that yes, many of our system members have relationships that fancops would find offensive or problematic.
But we didn’t create or deliberately enter into these relationships because we’re proship, or because we enjoy those kinds of relationships in fiction
The truth is that what we enjoy in fiction, and what our personal squicks are, are largely influenced by our experiences in our past lives as fictionkin/fictives. We would still definitely be anti censorship regardless, but our attraction to problematic themes in romance is because all of us have experienced messy romance before.
Relationships are complicated. They take work and understanding. A lot of the relationships we’re in now, which are comfortable and healthy were once upon a time very toxic or unhealthy. But we have the benefit of multiple lives together, chances at different perspectives and time to work things out.
If you look at our F/O list you’ll see a lot of problematic “ships”. All of our F/Os are real relationships that we’re in, either with other sinister system members, or with members of our partner’s system.
Harry (🌺😈) is in a number of incestuous relationships from his past lives. From his life as Alfred Ashford with his sister Alexia. With his father Norman from Marvel life. With his ectobrother John from Homestuck life as Jade.
Toko (😼🔪) is in really wonderful relationship that has repeatedly in previous lifetimes been quite toxic and unhealthy. As Sabretooth with Mystique. As Ocelot with Kazuhira.
Age gaps are too plentiful to even list. There have been times when one of our beloveds was an immortal with thousands of years on us. There’s Wesker (🌀😎) and Rebecca who have I think a 20 year age gap?
I’m (🔍⚔️) Dave Strider and I’m in a relationship with Rose Lalonde. Once upon another lifetime we were Takeru and Hikari from Digimon.
Our relationships and our perspective on relationships is intertwined with and inseparable from our mutual cycle of reincarnation. Meeting one another again and again, in different lifetimes in different contexts. A former sibling from one lifetime becomes a lover in the next. Destined lovers are born 30 years apart. People are enemies in one lifetime and beloveds in another.
Being proship doesn’t influence the relationships in our system, but the way our system works influences our perspectives on relationships and fiction.
