Thoughts on the Harry Potter game controversy?
I (🌺😈)–an ardent Harry Potter fan from 2000-2004– hated JK Rowling before it was cool.
Literally don’t get me started on my complicated relationship to the HP franchise and furious anger toward JK Rowling.
I won’t stop talking about it once I get started. I don’t know if I’m even ready to process those feelings.
If anybody else asks me about it you’re gonna get a 2000 word essay of everything JK Rowling has ever done to personally offend me and ruin my personal life.
If you want to play the wizard school game but are too angry at JK Rowling to morally compromise yourself, I recommend playing Fire Emblem Three Houses to get your fix.
I think as far as “sins” go, buying and playing the wizard game is about on par with buying bottled water from Nestle.
Is Nestle evil? Yes.
Does every bottle of water you buy support slave labor and the destruction of the environment? Yes.
Do I bully people or stop associating with them for buying Nestle products? No.
