do you have any advice for identifying if a character is just one you really identify with or a kintype?
Are you able to separate your identity from the identity of the character?
Does it feel like you; like someone you’ve been?
When you talk about the character does it feel right to say “I did this” instead of “character did this”?
Do you have thoughts about the character that feel like memories? Not just visual memories, but other scenes too. Smells. Senses of touch?
Are there things about the character that you just feel like you know, for certain without thinking them up deliberately?
Do their friends feel like your friends? Do their enemies feel like your enemies?
Are you comfortable saying “I was there. That was me. I did those things. I knew those people.”?
When you say “this character is me” are you serious about it? Does it feel like the truth in a literal, non-metaphorical way?
Is it real to you?
