If someone reads a female!Reader fic as a trans guy, does that make the fic transphobic? Would someone reading a black!Reader fic as a white person be blackface? Racist? Honestly my guess is that some lawyer told ffnet’s staff that it was theoretically possible that someone could sue them over it and ffnet didn’t want to take the risk.
Either that or they really believe, as I’ve seen some antis argue, that a child reading second person smut magically transforms it into something evil.
They probably do believe all those other ideas you said, too.
