There’s a lot more to it, I should mention. The Nezha started I think last year when a show director implied the characters Sun Wukong and Nezha had kissed during a scene or something. Then they lost their minds over it because of the og myth and a kid (who themselves is Chinese also I should mention) Made a post about how it’s wrong to ship them because of said og myth and that it “doesn’t matter that he’s an adult in the show. He’s still twelve!!!!!!) But then I saw others who were also Chinese speaking out against this idea. The post went viral and since this person is popular in the fandom (I’m guessing for making translations of the Chinese dub so people could watch it sooner, and also making art and edits) they were the one who was listened to above others.
