Also it baffles me that I say “I’d rather be nice than be mean if I can help it” and people’s response is NO we HAVE to be mean because being nice to people is bad somehow
Like I’m not perfect but at least I’m not deliberately a spiteful asshole so drenched in my own bitterness I’d rather hurt others than show an ounce of compassion
