hi, i hope you don’t mind me asking you, but i was wondering if you could help me out with something? there’s this wip i’m making that i plan to publish to ao3 when finished, but i don’t know how to rate it. i only really write M or E content, so this has never really been a problem before, but there’s this fic i made that doesn’t include sex or extreme violence, and nothing mature. but i don’t know if i should rate it as G or T because it has swearing in it… can cussing still be marked as G?
How intense is the swearing? American movie ratings don’t allow “fuck” but you can have “shit and damn”.
I would say if there’s a lot of swearing, mark it teen, or if the swearing is particularly intense.
But if its just some light cussing you should be fine rating it G.
