That fnaf artist was also transphobic I think but everyone ignored the transphobia and actual predatory actions to focus on how they wrote “problematic” fanfic
Yeah it is very typical to fancop behavior in fandom. The real victims don’t matter to them, just the “gross” fanfic/art.
