random rant bc i’m anxious lol i hate having grown up thinking that my worth = the amount of followers i have, bc i’ve been losing a lot of followers recently and it makes me just wanna give up on drawing and writing and idk what to do about it
Tumblr sucks for artists and writers of all kinds.
Just about every site right now sucks for us, ever since deviantart got ruined and nobody comments on things any more.
numbers are basically meaningless, especially follower count. Have you lost real followers, or is it just bots getting deleted?
Imagine if Van Gogh had given up on making art because people didn’t have an instant reaction to it.
Make the art and fiction that’s important to you, and that you love.
Don’t make art to be looked at for 3 seconds on social media ‘liked’ and forgotten about.
Don’t be part of disposable content culture.
Your art is amazing. Your art is valuable, and worth so much more than a ‘like’.
