pocket-bishounen.com was a site in the early 2000s where you could “catch” anime boys and display the images that you had “caught” on your personal website.
Here’s an excerpt from the FAQ section of the site as of March 2001.
Bishounen: a beautiful boy… Wild bishónen roam the world, just waiting to be caught and cared for. There are two groups: normal and baddies.
Bishónen baddies: any bishonen that is usually considered ‘evil’. If your bishonen was a series villain (even if he reformed) he is a baddie. When submitting him, please label him as such.
Bishónen-ball: a small, electronic device in the shape of a ball, used to capture bishónen. It shrinks them and stores them inside, until you decide to summon them.
Bishónen-dex: a catalog of all the bishonen caught so far. Each time a new species is discovered, it becomes entered into the bishónen-dex and is ready to be caught by anyone.
Glomp: This word was sort of invented by fan girls, I think. Basically, if you run up and hurl yourself at someone, hanging onto them in a genki fashion, you’re glomping them. Lame definition, but…
Trainer: a person who catches and trains bishónen. What you train them to do is your own business… ^_^;;
